Special Section: Automatic differentiation and its applications.

Abstract

This special issue is devoted to and extends the theme of the workshop on Automatic Differentiation and its Applications at the International Conference on Computational Science 2002, held in Amsterdam. Topics presented in this issue range from applications in several scientific disciplines, to aspects of designing an automatic differentiation tool, and, to more methodological studies.
