EFCOSS: An interactive environment facilitating optimal experimental design-Part II: Interfaces for simulation, optimization, and objective function.

Abstract

We continue the presentation of an environment for combining optimization and simulation software called EFCOSS which simplifies the experimentation with varying objective functions for common optimization problems like parameter estimation and optimal experimental design. While Part I is concerned with the design concepts and the core implementation, Part II deals with the integration of simulation and optimization software as well as with the evaluation of objective and constraint functions.
