Coming from Frankfurt (Main) Hbf or Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Fernbf:

Hourly trains (IC or ICE) with one change in Weimar or Erfurt and from there with RE to Jena West train station. Duration of travel approx. 3:10 hours
Coming from Halle (Saale):

Frequent trains during the day. During the morning every two hours there is a direct ICE train with duration 1 hour to Jena Paradies train station. In the afternoon this train operates every 4 hours. Apart from this train there are connections almost every half an hour with Regional trains with duration 1,5 to 2 hours with one change in Großheringen or Naumburg (Saale) Hbf.
Coming from Leipzig:

Every 2 hours there is a direct ICE train to Jena Paradies train station with duration of travel 1 hour. Apart from this train there are frequent connections with IC, ICE, RE or RB trains and one or two changes, and duration of travel 1,5 to 2 hours that arrive at Jena West or Jena Paradies train stations.
Coming from Göttingen:

Every 2 hours there is a direct RE train to Jena West train station with duration of travel 2:12 hours.
Coming from Nürnberg:

There are almost hourly ICE trains to the Jena Paradies train station with duration of travel 2,5 to 3 hours.
Coming from Berlin Hbf:

Every 1,5 hours there is a direct ICE train to Jena Paradies with duration of travel 2:24 hours

From Dresden or Erfurt take freeway exit "Jena Zentrum" (Number 54).
From Berlin, Leipzig, Munich: change at "Hermsdorfer Kreuz" to A4 heading for Erfurt. Then take freeway exit "Jena Zentrum" (Number 54).

Be Careful: in some navigation systems there is a freeway exit "Jena Lobeda-Ost", which does not exist anymore! Always take "Jena Zentrum".

After leaving A4 take B88 heading for Zentrum.

On B88 heading for Zentrum, turn right one traffic light after the Aral crossroad. Park there and at the tram station "Sportforum" take line 5 heading for "Ernst-Abbe-Platz".
On B88 heading for Zentrum, turn right two traffic lights after the Aral crossroad. Park there and at the tram station "Jenertal" take line 5 heading for "Ernst-Abbe-Platz".
On B88 heading for Zentrum, turn left on the second traffic light after the bridge over the river saale. At the end of Löbdergraben (where you cannot drive straightforward anymore), turn right and then instantly right again. Park there under the Intershop tower or behind it on the parking place. From there it is 200 meters to "Ernst-Abbe-Platz".
